The Weather Application Programming Interface (API) is offered through our Portal Solution. This API allows users to access a set of functions and procedures to create applications from our weather data.

The system implements oauth to open API calls to the public for both 3rd and 1st party applications. APIs typically use tokens to authenticate users and applications and do not maintain sessions between requests.

The contents in this document explaining the API assumes that the client implementing the API is familiar with oauth, its general terminology and core features.

Documentation on the implementation of oauth from the Portal can be found at https://portal.agribase.co.za/oauth/documentation. This documentation will explain how to obtain an authorised token that will be used in the clients 3rd party application.
